In NY, Andrea started her career at a company that designed fashion jewelry for Donna Karan. She left to pursue a career in fine jewelry and moved to Florida to work for a Bangkok-based jewelry manufacturer. It was during this time the designer experienced one of the biggest thrills — obtaining special access into the Pope's library and designing a Vatican-inspired collection.

In 1995 Andrea began working for Candela Jewelry, the US branch of the renowned Spanish gold manufacturer where she would work for over 9 years.   Andrea embraced Candela’s time honored traditions and helped to develop and create her own signature collections, with distinguished styling, for both the North American and European markets. While serving as the head of Design and Product Development, she gained the necessary experience to launch her own company, Shadow Designs. Andrea later returned to Candela to create the Andréa Candela Collection, which received rave reviews and highlighted her passion for technique and color.

Currently, Andrea lives in Miami, FL with her husband and daughter.  She is an artist and avid traveler, who lives her dreams through her exquisite designs, her passion for color and stones and being in touch with different cultures around the world. She dedicates most of her time to her designer brand, Andrea Ventura, and special projects for private clients.
